While Wii owners may be upset that the soon-to-be-released Resident Evil 5 is not going to be a part of their line-up in the near future (if ever) they may be pleased to know that Capcom has not forgotten them entirely.


The Nintendo Wii not forgotten?
When asked about the possiblity of RE5 coming to the Wii, Capcom's Associate Product Marketing Manager, Matt Dahlgren responded:

It was made for the Xbox 360 and PS3. That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon.
Now what could THAT little statement mean? Eariler reports had said that the Resident Evil team was all for creating something for the Wii but there are still no details as to what. Will it be some kind of psudo-port of 5 like Chop 'Till You Drop was for Dead Rising? Some sort of sequel to Umbrella Chronicles? Or something completly new and original?

With Capcom, at this point, it could go any way.
