EA and Borne Games unveil Mirror's Edge 2D. The big surprise? It's really, really fun.

Today EA released the public beta of Mirror's Edge 2D. The game itself plays very similar to its next-gen counterpart, with extremely fast running and jumping sections, briefcase-collecting and a world that is true to the original.

Though the game is currently in beta, it already plays like a finished version. Three levels are currently available, as well as a time trial mode. If I've been gushing a bit in this post, it's because I wasted quite a bit of time playing it when I should've been working. What do you think?
