DoubleJump Publishing Selling 'Hardcore Gamer' On EBay

I'm reading: DoubleJump Publishing Selling 'Hardcore Gamer' On EBayTweet this!

DoubleJump Publishing is selling a copy of Hardcore Gamer Magazine on eBay for a hefty asking price.

Have $42,000 to spend on a magazine?
Man, it's been an unusual time for gaming journalism. First, there was yesterday's heartbreaking news about the closure of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) and the large layoffs at 1Up. Today, a most unusual popped up on eBay: DoubleJump Publishing is selling Hardcore Gamer magazine for a starting price of $42,000. That chunk of changes nets you, "the copyrights, registered trademark rights, intellectual property rights, back issues, subscription lists, customer lists, vendor lists, employee contracts, distribution contacts, public relations contacts, advertising contacts, web sites and domain names associated with Hardcore Gamer, including HardcoreGamer.com and around thirty other domain names."

It's certainly a novel way to sell a somewhat established print publication, but it just seems kind of minor league to me. How about you guys? Anyone have enough coin to buy their own gaming mag? Would you even want to in today's economic environment? What would your personal gaming magazine consist of?
