Mascot fighter to be released in January alongside titles like Fantasy Zone 2.
Nintendo fans can already get two flavors of Super Smash Brothers on the Wii (Melee via backwards compatibility), but that doesn't stop them from wanting more. And if you live in Japan, Nintendo is listening.
Wiifanboy is reporting that the Nintendo 64 original Super Smash Brothers is coming to the Japanese Virtual Console in January, heading up a list that also includes Fantasy Zone 2 and Wonder Boy 3. Possibly exciting for the true Smash Brothers fan, but we'll offer a preemptive two cents by saying that North American fans would probably be better served by just picking up Melee than holding their breath for a Stateside release.
