Suikoden Joins Lumines Supernova And Pulse On PSN

I'm reading: Suikoden Joins Lumines Supernova And Pulse On PSNTweet this!

An early PlayStation Store update brings the classic PS1 RPG, Suikoden, to PSP and PS3 for $6.

Suikoden joins Lumines Supernova and Pulose on the Playstation Store list.

Following last week's PlayStation Store update isn't an easy job, but it looks like there's more than enough new content to keep everyone happy (until you realize how much money you might end up dishing out). Jeopardy's price has been dropped to $10 and, as promised, Lumines Supernova has hit and for $15 you can download the newest iteration of Q Entertainment's beautiful puzzle game. (Make sure and grab the free holiday pack that includes 20 free skins for the game, too.) It's a shame the game isn't available on PSP, too -- it would've made for a nice download as gamers do their holiday traveling, or to keep them sustained while they're away from their consoles. Instead, what will have to fill that gap is the release of the fan favorite PS1 RPG, Suikoden. $6 will net you the game for play on PS3 or PSP.

A week no longer goes by without the release of Little Big Planet costumes, and this week is no different. But this week's special with the release of four Metal Gear Solid character costumes (Solid Snake, Meryl, Screaming Mantis, and Raiden, $2 each of $6 for all four) and a Metal Gear Solid level pack ($6). High Velocity Bowling gets some free DLC with a trick shot pack, new character, and new bowling ball. Pain gets a new character for $1, and Disgaea 3 gets a bunch of paid DLC including new characters. Shaun White Snowboarding gets a DLC pack called the "glamor pack" for $5 but curiously enough, there are two versions: the regular edition and the Target edition. You need to pick the proper one depending on which version you own (the Target version was exclusive to Target stores) -- seemingly an odd Buzz! Quiz TV's newest question pack is another National Geographic pack ($8), this time on the subject of undersea. Better brush up on your jellyfish facts before you download so that you don't accidentally channel Karl Pilkington.

Lord of the Rings fans will be excited to hear that a demo of the upcoming Conquest has been released and will allow you to play multiplayer online. It's the only demo this week but it's the perfect gift at the end of the year for LOTR fans.

The usual slate of music games get some new tracks to play along to, too, of course. Guitar Hero World Tour adds three rock songs for $2 each or $5.49 as a bundle, and a free reggae rock pack containing three songs. Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore gets three new songs for $1.49 each, including "In the Air Tonight." Rock Band goes big with three Foo Fighters songs ($2 each, $5.49 bundle) and three holiday-themed songs from The Pretenders, Billy Squier, and the Barenaked Ladies ($1 each, $3 bundle).

Aside from the usual themes and wallpapers (including some premium Dark Knight themes, which I can't help but be tempted by), there's only one video being released this week. But, it's rather interesting: The 12/23 edition of Pulse, Sony's internally-developed PlayStation-themed show. It's appearing on PSN due to popular demand, according to Sony, and as if Qore hadn't already been rendered superfluous enough by Pulse's very existence, the fact that it's now available for people to watch on PlayStation 3 makes us wonder if this really does mark the end of Qore like we pondered recently.
