Partnership with Connect Entertainment offers post-apocalyptic RPG to gamers in 19 more regions.
As another indicator of the industry's continued globalization, a report from MCV says Bethesda Softworks has formed a partnership with Connect Entertainment to distribute Fallout 3 in 19 more regions, including Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Lebanon, Qatar, Egypt, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. The game will be available on all major platforms including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in all these places.
As I've said before, while it's nice seeing additional distribution channels appearing for publishers and developers to increase sales and help offset those astronomical development costs, I'd like to see more content from foreign developers released here in the states. The additional diversity could only benefit a market plagued by a sometimes overwhelming number of sequels and me-too titles.
