Open-world shooter has sold well, although it did not make it onto the NPD top ten for October.
Ubisoft has just announced that Far Cry 2 has reached one million in total sales in less than three weeks of being at market. Although how many were sold per platform was not revealed, sales of the PC version were likely directly impacted by its inclusion with various high-end graphics cards such as Nvidia's GX 280. Though it has hit one million across all platforms, it's also worth noting that Far Cry 2 did not make it onto the top ten in October's NPD sales charts.
Obviously as giddy as a schoolboy, Ubisoft chief executive officer Yves Guillemot said, "The holiday quarter is off to a solid start with a successful launch of Far Cry 2. The game is well on track to achieve our expectations for the year."
