Four community-selected maps are available now for Bad Company, and they won't cost you a nickel.
Along with updating the PS3 version to support Trophies, EA released four new multiplayer maps yesterday for their explosive first-person shooter Battlefield: Bad Company. Titled the Community Choice Pack, these fresh battlegrounds are based on single-player levels from the game, and can be downloaded free of charge from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace.
Two of the four new maps -- Acta Non Verba and Par For the Course -- were selected by player voting on EA's Battlefield community site, while Ghost Town and Crossing Over were chosen by the development team at DICE. Coincidentally, the two developer selections actually line up with the third and fourth most popular community picks, so read into that what you will.
As has been proven over and over with Burnout: Paradise, a continuous stream of free content is never a bad thing. Here's hoping more console game publishers look to these examples for how to keep players coming back to their products for months after release -- maybe even years, in the case of Burnout.
